Degree Structure
To earn a B.A degree in Business Administration & International Trade
students are required to finish 46 courses equivalent to 144 credit hours in 4 years. The first year will be a combination of a set of introductory courses like Marketing, Management, Finance, Accounting, Computer & Economics. In addition to some of
the elective courses that you can choose from any other faculty (applied Arts,
political science and/or Arabic), there are 5 main departments you can choose your
major from.
Accounting Department.
Economics Department.
Management Department.
Marketing Department.
Finance Department.
Accounting Department
A Degree in Accounting is based around a set of courses such as tax
accounting information system and auditing. Students majoring in accounting will
be able to cover all the accounting concepts, processes and transactions like the
balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flow, cash and temporary investments
and framework of budgets and break even analysis for planning and control.
Year Three
You are introduced to basic courses of the accounting major like management
accounting, computerized accounting, advanced accounting and advanced auditing.
Year Four
In the final year, you are to finish what remains from the major accounting courses
such as financial statement analysis and accounting for financial institutions.

Economics Department
The BA in Economics as a major involves the study of theoretical and applied
micro and macro economics with a particular focus on the modern business enterprise
and its operation environment. Courses like mathematical economics, economic development,
international economics and public finance will provide its students with the knowledge
and skills to pursue a range of general business and management careers, as well
as the ability to undertake research in economics and related areas.
Year Three
In the third year of majoring in economics students take the core subjects like macroeconomics theory, microeconomics theory, managerial economics and/or public
finance.
Year Four
The final year in economics as a major, students take the remaining major
courses plus the graduation project in economics.

Management Department
Management studies provide the main concept of local and global environment
surroundings that influences both the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization
operating in the modern world. Courses like the human resources management, small
business management organization development and E-Business equip its graduates
with a wide range of professional and practical skills that maximize their employability
in both the short and long terms.
Year Three
In the third year of management studies, students take courses like production
operation management II, office management and special topics in international trade.
Year Four
This is the last year of management studies. Students take subjects like management
information systems, purchasing and inventory management and the project in management.

Marketing Department
Marketing affects everybody. Courses such as Consumer Behavior, International
Marketing, Advertising & Promotion, enable students to identify the various
elements that define the marketing environment. The world has become a global market.
There are more opportunities and challenges encountered today by international marketers
than ever before. Most businesses depend on marketing to provide an understanding
of the market place and to ensure that the company’s products and services satisfy
the needs of consumers. Students will have knowledge about the factors that affect
the marketer’s decision and the various elements that define the marketing environment.
You will get to know the practical side of the marketing communication tools and
the promotional mix elements. You will be able to learn new concepts about the cultural
environment of global markets, assessing global market opportunities and develop
global marketing strategies.
Year Three
In the third year as a marketing major student, courses like marketing research,
professional selling and sales management and fundamentals of logistics are important.
Year Four
this is the last year and courses like E-marketing, and strategic marketing project
will be of a great benefit.

Finance Department
Finance is one major that is not offered yet in business school but it is
offered as a minor. The purpose of finance is to increase the student’s basic theoretical
foundation to employ in financial management. You will be able then to develop the
framework and the necessary tools, to utilize the future financial decision-making.
You will not only be able to make decisions but you will have the logical way and
consistent thought processes that can be applied in a diverse set of situations.
Year Three - Year Four
Since Finance is not offered as a major, students will have to take 3 from
the 6 obligatory courses then choose 2 from the elective courses in finance like
banking management, financial decision making or international finance.
